A venue playbook is a use-case sequence with checklist discipline. Indoor expo hall is not a moodboard. It is a sequence you can run with a small production team when the week is already loud. We open with the outcome, name the activations that carry the work, and keep a dispatch nearby so language stays consistent across the desk.
Day one: write the blocker in one sentence and pick the primary activation path. Day two: complete the install leaf, the boring boxes that prevent Friday firefights. Day three: align the venue card, who meets, what gets logged, what waits for power windows. Day four: prepare the handoff note if a desk hour is needed. Day five: review exceptions and decide whether to widen scope or stop.
South African programmes often skip day two. That is how blunt joins and unreadables arrive. Indoor expo hall insists on the checklist before the hero moment. If load-shedding truncates the week, compress days three and four into a single power window and protect the checklist, never the decorative work. Make sure you separate the checklist from the hero shot when the team gets excited.
